First week of class...

The first week of class was quite interesting. After introductions we jumped right into defining Web 2.0. For the most part, the groups all had similar descriptions. This was also the first time I heard the term Connectivism. What is it really? It's what I do on a daily basis at home, work, and school. Connectivism = Networking via Social Networks, blogs, webinars etc...

The way we use the internet and technology today may not be how we use it five years from now or even two years from now.

  1. Hi Tina,

I love the theory of connectivism. As I mentioned in class the theory informally states that we are all connected in some fashion. The advantage is that we do not necessarily have to be able to do or know something ourselves. We just need to know who has that information. It is a new term but the concept has been integral to the progression of mankind from the beginning. Take the 6 degrees of seperation for example:

I think with the advancement of technology we will bridge those degress of seperation. Maybe we have already evolved to the six degress of seperation/web 2.0= the 3 degress of seperation:)

Here is a link to a very interesting concept. Check it out if you have time:

    Maybe that all had Iphones:)
